The town dates to the 17th century when the French Huguenots arrived. Billed as the Gourmet Capital of South Africa, this town bursts with charm, situated in the most picturesque valley and to this day still maintains its French Huguenot style. Enjoy a wine tasting before lunch at one of the many award-winning restaurants. Onward to one of the Capes first farming districts, Paarl.
