Today you will be met by your guide to visit Grand Canyon of Yellowstone to appreciate the sheer beauty of the region’s geographical wonders. The massive canyon was formed over 640,000 years ago from a huge volcanic eruption. Today, the mighty Yellowstone River flows through its channels as steam from the falls and the hydrothermal features in the canyon's walls fill the air.

Visitors can take in the Canyon’s beauty with a hike along the south rim and to Uncle Tomas Trail and Artist point, and then also to the North Rim to the Brink of the Lower Falls. After your exploration, continue to Cooke City to rest for the evening at your selected accommodation.

Here, extremely hot water travels from a crack in the earth’s crust to the spring’s surface. Wider than a football field and deeper than a 10 story building, only the stunning colors of its rim and blue waters outweigh its sheer size.

Continuing a short drive south, we will walk around the Upper Geyser Basin to take in one of the greatest highlights of Yellowstone, Old Faithful. Earning its title from its timely eruptions, Old Faithful spews hot water up to 180 feet high with steam temperatures reaching over 300 degrees Fahrenheit!
