Your stay at the Wildlife Retreat includes full access to the Zoo on the day of arrival, throughout your stay, and on the day of departure. If you arrive before check-in at 2 p.m., the front desk team will be happy to hold your bags and provide a Zoo pass, so you can start exploring and meet some incredible wildlife. From 2 p.m., you can check into your accommodation at the Wildlife Retreat.
During check-in, our front desk team will assist in scheduling your Sanctuary Tour and dinner at Me-Gal Restaurant (if not pre-selected) and answer any questions about your stay. Feel free to wander the Zoo grounds during opening hours and get acquainted with the animals. A map is available at reception to help you make the most of your visit. The Zoo closes at 5:00 p.m. in summer and 4:30 p.m. in winter.
"The Sanctuary" is an immersive, thoughtfully designed habitat exclusive to Wildlife Retreat guests. Set amidst the accommodation lodges, the Sanctuary offers views of unique Australian animals, visible right from your room. Available daily between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., Zoo guides lead tours where you can get close to adorable native animals like bettongs, echidnas, pademelons, and wallabies. You’ll hear fascinating talks and connect with the stories of Cammeraigal country. Your tour time will be confirmed at check-in.
For dinner, indulge at Me-Gal Restaurant, where fresh, native ingredients and locally sourced produce are celebrated on a seasonally crafted menu that's sure to delight. After dinner, the evening is yours to relax.
