Overview

Trip Overview

This 4-day Irish vacation takes you to the nation’s capital to stay in one of the world’s leading hotels. It features deluxe accommodations, independent tours, and is perfect for upscale travellers visiting Dublin.

Your trip to Ireland showcases Dublin, which is one of the friendliest cities you’ll ever visit. In the past, Dublin was known as the loveliest city in Europe and while its Georgian architecture has aged over the years, the city hasn’t lost any of its charm. During your time in Dublin, you’ll stay at The Merrion Hotel, a 5-star hotel in the heart of the city. Designated one of the Leading Hotels in the World, The Merrion is the most luxurious accommodation in the city, with three on-site restaurants, including the two Michelin-starred Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud. You’ll also have access to an 18m-long pool, spa, and gym.

While in Dublin, you’ll have the freedom of the Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour to head around the city and see some of the most popular sites, including Trinity College Library, which is home to the incredible Book of Kells, the Dublin Docklands, and the Guinness Storehouse, where you can learn about the world’s most famous stout and enjoy a pint while you’re at it. One evening, be regaled with traditional song and dance at a Merry Ploughboys Traditional Night. The rest of your time in the city is at leisure to explore as you see fit.

At the end of your stay, head to the airport to connect back home.

With your private driver-guide leading the way, today you'll head east to visit a few historical and sacred sites in Ireland. Declared a World Heritage Site in 1993, Bru Na Boinne is host to a remarkably fascinating, if somewhat mysterious, history. Found approximately 40 kilometers north of Dublin and on a slight river peninsula and bordering the meandering Boyne River, Bru Na Boinne is host to a cluster of prehistoric monuments. Ranging from the mid-30th century BCE to the 3rd century BCE, some of the sites predate the Egyptian pyramids, while others serve as magnificent examples of standing stones, burial mounds, and seemingly significant sites that align with astrological cycles. A site often overlooked on trips to Ireland, it surely one of the most incredible places to visit on the Emerald Isle. Later in the day, and after a break for lunch (not included) you'll travel to Trim Castle, which is likely the best-preserved and most impressive example of Anglo-Norman castle architecture in Ireland. It offers a spectacular insight into the lives and traditions of the people from the middle ages and leads well into your last stop of the day, The Hill of Tara. Best known for having been the royal residence of the ancient High Kings that ruled Ireland in Celtic times and beyond, it is said that a quarter of Ireland's landscape can be seen from this hill. You'll have the time to take in this spectacular vista before heading back to your hotel in Dublin.
