This 6-day Zimbabwean vacation takes you to Victoria Falls and Chobe National Park. It features first-class accommodations, small group tours, and is an ideal introduction to southcentral Africa.
Your journey begins in Zimbabwe at Victoria Falls, the world’s largest waterfall system and one of the seven natural wonders of the world. On your first full day you’ll hike through the rainforest, feeling the spray of the falls mist your face as you approach its overwhelming torrents, eventually breaking through the bush to see the millions of gallons of water gushing over the falls each second. In the afternoon, embark on the Zambezi Explorer and journey along the Zambezi River, drinking sundowners as you venture along this mighty river and enjoy the sun falling in the sky.
From Victoria Falls, cross the border into Botswana and head to Chobe National Park, a massive game reserve known for its abundance of elephant herds. Staying at Elephant Valley Lodge, situated adjacent to Chobe National Park, you’ll enjoy first-class accommodations as you head on daily game drives in the park and boat cruises on the Chobe River. Venture through the park to see elephant herds crossing the swampy plains or zebra and water buffalo crowding along the banks of the Chobe River.
At the end of your stay, connect back to Kasane to continue to your onward destination.
