Your first full day in Porto is spent with a small group of fellow foodies, ready for a city tour with a difference. You'll see the historic sights and beauty of this historic port city, but the focus remains on food. Across six different tasting locations, you'll sample ten local specialties, plus six different beverages that are staples in Porto's cuisine. We don't want to ruin the surprise, but along the way your guide will put your foodie discoveries into their historic context with tales of Porto's past.
Everyone who comes to Porto tries the port wine (and so should you!). But don't forget Portugal's other specialty, vinho verde. The namesake region that produces this 'green wine' is in fact Portugal's largest. You'll visit two wineries here, enjoying a fabulous lunch along with insight into the country's wine industry.
Upon returning to Porto, you may wish to extend your stay.
