Amazing Experience

Overview

Trip Overview

Copenhagen, Denmark’s vibrant and lively capital is a fairly compact city. It has a strong character reflected in its architecture and criss-crossing canals and harbour. Copenhagen is known for its excellent shopping, culture and nightlife.

Start your sightseeing with a boat tour which will cover the harbour and a number of the principal canals. Perhaps the best known landmark is the iconic Little Mermaid, a bronze and granite statue displayed in the middle of the harbour. Nyhavn is one of Copenhagen’s major canals with its beautiful old houses but is best known for its many quayside open-air restaurants and bars, very popular with locals and visitors alike.

The next day brings a tour of the castles located just north of the city. You will visit Frederiksborg Castle, originally built as a royal residence. It is located in Hillerod on 3 islets in the middle of a lake. It is known for its gardens, one, an English style romantic garden and another, a French baroque garden. After that, continue north to Helsingor and Kronborg Castle, the mysterious and atmospheric castle featured in Shakespeare’s Hamlet and the most visited castle in Denmark.
