Your trip to Germany and France begins in Frankfurt, where you’ll connect to Baden-Baden, the former hotbed of European royalty that’s known for its hot springs. After taking a dip for yourself, pick up your rental car and journey into the Black Forest, the enchanting landscape of evergreen trees and charming villages that defines southwestern Germany. Drive through the villages of Baiersbronn, Freudenstadt, and Alpirsbach before returning to Baden-Baden and continuing to Titisee, a picturesque lake in the midst of the forest. Stroll along the banks of the lake and continue to Hofgut Sternen to learn about the construction of cuckoo clocks before reaching Freiburg, known for its gorgeous church tower that looks like something out of a fairy tale.
From Freiburg, drive over the border into France and journey to Colmar and Strasbourg in the Franco-German region of Alsace. Head on a sightseeing tour to see the stunning Gothic Strasbourg Cathedral and experience the city’s famous blend of French and German influences.
