After breakfast you will be driven to Lake Manyara National Park, one of the Rift Valley's numerous alkaline lakes, which apart from its abundant bird life, is renowned for its large elephant and buffalo population, tree climbing lions and flamingos. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Later this afternoon, you will embark on your first game drive in search of the parks wildlife.

Standing high on the bluff of a dramatic ochre and terracotta streaked cliff above the flamingo-frosted expanse of Lake Manyara's gleaming alkaline waters, Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge commands panoramic views across the volcano-studded floor of the Great Rift Valley. This morning you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact crater, in a 4x4 vehicle. This natural amphitheater is home to a vast concentration of animals and is the best place to see the black rhino. You will enjoy a half day of game viewing in the crater. Return to the lodge for lunch and dinner.

After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti National Park, undoubtedly the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and the greatest concentration of plains game anywhere. En route visit the Olduvai Gorge, the site of archeological findings by Mary Leaky and where traces of pre-historic man dating back to 3.5 million years ago have been discovered. Arrive at your lodge for lunch and thereafter head out on an afternoon game drive before returning for dinner.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the local airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Arusha. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to Cultural Heritage for lunch (for guests flying to Zanzibar, lunch boxes will be provided), after which, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport in time for your onward departure flight.
