Explore the magnificent Fleurieu Peninsula unlike any other with an exclusive and exciting one day adventure only 40-minutes from Adelaide's CBD.

It introduces the visitor to the hidden delights of a spectacular wine and food province set in a pristine pocket of South Australian bushland and coast. We drive off the tourist routes in a luxury, custom-built 4WD vehicle to discover exclusive locations throughout national parks and private property made accessible to tour guide and passionate Fleurieu local, Benjamin Neville. This exhilarating off-road adventure embraces sprawling vineyards with a dramatic backdrop of rolling hills, local flora and fauna, a spectacular beach drive and a glimpse into indigenous history. It includes a relaxed, mid-morning refreshment stop of handmade cheese and local wines to the sounds of the didgeridoo and a specially prepared outdoor, private lunch experience followed by a visit to the world-acclaimed McLaren Vale wine region and a wine tasting at Ben's respected family homestead and vineyard. Highly-acclaimed chef and Ben's partner, Imogen (Mo) Czulowski prepares a delicious 3-course meal on the homestead lawns. Throughout the tour Ben shares his knowledge of and passion for the region, stopping at intervals to allow you to soak in breathtaking views of rocky headlands, backcountry 4x4 tracks and timeless vistas over the vast Great Southern Ocean and Kangaroo Island.

This tour takes you on an insider's tour through Adelaide's Central Markets and features unknown local highlights such as hidden tunnels, visiting local potters and cheesery, with an education on wine to boot.

Your journey begins with a city orientation tour. You travel through the scenic Torrens Gorge to the Barossa Valley. Perhaps you'll stop at a local bakery to taste the best of the fine German pastries. Travel over the Jacobs Creek for your first tasting of the fine wines at the Peter Lehmann winery. Then visit Torbreck wine cellars, a small winery with rustic charm, making wines in traditional Barossa methods. After, you'll stop for a stroll in the German town of Tanunda with time to discover the small shops. Before lunch take the picturesque drive up to Menglers Hill for an unsurpassed view over the entire Valley. Continue into historic Angaston - one of the more English villages in the Barossa. Lunch will be alfresco under the vines or at Vintners restaurant just out of Angaston. Your next stop may be Henschkes winery in Keyneton, a fifth generation German winery or the historic Yalumba, the biggest family run winery in Australia. If time permits you may visit small boutique producers such as Charles Melton or Turkey Flat.

Day 1

An early morning start for a scenic coach transfer to Cape Jervis taking in the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula with its vineyards, coastal views and rolling hills. On arrival, board the SeaLink ferry for the 45 minute crossing to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. Here you will board your luxury SeaLink coach, and your local driver/guide will take you on a tour of South Australia's premier nature-based tourism destination.

Visit Seal Bay Conservation Park where you will be taken on a guided beach walk with an experienced guide and be amongst a colony of rare Australian sea lions. Get up close and see these wild creatures frolic and laze about - a truly amazing and unforgettable experience. After your visit to Seal Bay Conservation Park, you will enjoy a delicious two course lunch.

Spend the afternoon in the Flinders Chase National Park, which was devastated in the worst fire to ever hit the island in January 2020. You'll see that the regeneration of the native bush occurs so quickly after the event and there will be many opportunities to take photos. As you travel through the park, keep an eye out for echidnas, wallabies, reptiles, and koalas. See the rugged coastline from walks around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Remarkable Rocks provide great photographic opportunities, and the Admirals Arch boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal the spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery and safe haven for playful Long-nosed Fur Seals.

Your last visit of the day is to the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to feed some kangaroos and get up close to the Kangaroo Island Koalas while listening to the Keeper talk about the cuddly mammals. There is also a possibility that you will see more kangaroos and wallabies on your way to your chosen overnight accommodation.
