This 4-day trip to Spain takes you to Seville, the capital of Andalusia.
Your Spain vacation focuses on the Andalusian capital in the country’s southwest. Known as the birthplace of flamenco, Seville remains one of the country’s cultural capitals. You’ll find three UNESCO World Heritage Sites within the Old Town alone, including the Gothic Seville Cathedral, where explorer Christopher Columbus is buried. On a sightseeing tour, you’ll visit icons on and off the beaten track, including the University, Plaza de Espana, and the Jewish Quarter, Stanza Cruz. You’ll also visit the bullring and cross the oldest bridge in the city, Triana Bridge, designed by Gustav Eiffel (known for the Paris tower). When you’re not sightseeing, take advantage of the bright flavours of Andalusian cuisine, feasting on incredible pork dishes like Secreto Iberico or Carrillada de Cerdo while sipping on a glass of sherry. You can even take in a flamenco dance to really get in touch with the city’s spirit.
A short distance away, you'll also visit the Alhambra, Spain's finest palace and one of the great architectural achievements in all of Europe. Admire the coming together of Moorish and Christian influences that defines this region of Spain, wandering the gardens and halls of this splendid icon.
