Amazing Experience

Overview

Trip Overview

Arrive at your hotel for 3 nights’ accommodation in the old and picturesque city of Amsterdam. The next morning, explore the city on a Hop On Hop Off bus which allows you to stop at and view many of the highlights of central Amsterdam. This includes taking the canal boat which gives you a totally different perspective.

The following day you will have a tour to Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague. Drive south first to Rotterdam, a complete contrast to Amsterdam with its modern futuristic architecture including the innovatively designed yellow cube houses, a “village within a city”. However, not everything is new as you will see when you visit the old port. Also enjoy the views of the city and the port from the Euromast Tower. Later head to Delft, a quaint city with a network of colourful canals and famous for its Delft Blue Tile. You will visit a workshop/factory to learn more about this product. Then drive to the capital of the Netherlands, The Hague and have a tour of the city taking in the Parliament Buildings and the Peace Palace which houses the International Court of Justice. Finally visit Madurodam, the miniature village which depicts a typical Dutch community. Then return to Amsterdam.

Do as the locals do and experience Amsterdam by bike. This is certainly the fastest, most flexible and most fun way of getting around in Amsterdam. The guide will show you the city's many canals, museums, attractions and other famous sights. All bikes are of high quality and very comfortable.

Today's adventure begins in the city center of Amsterdam, where you'll meet your tour leader before traveling by bus to the city of Rotterdam. Upon arrival, you'll head to port and board a city clipper to cruise through the city's canals. Rotterdam is an impressive city with many modern, striking buildings and is known for its eclectic, unique architecture, making it an excellent venue for a relaxing drift accentuated by commentary offered from the ship's guide. Back on land, and after visiting a few key city monuments, the scene shifts to Delft, where you will break for lunch (not included). A beautiful medieval town, afterward you'll visit one of the last remaining Delftware factories, famous for their blue-and-white ceramics, learning how these pieces are fashioned and some of the histories behind the craft along the way. Carrying on, the tour heads to The Hague. Here you'll drive by the Peace Palace and the oldest House of Parliament - still in use today - before seeing Noordeinde Palace, where the Dutch King works. Finally, you will visit Madurodam, the world-famous miniature town that features highly detailed scale replicas of Holland's most iconic landmarks. After some time to explore the museum and a day of Dutch sightseeing, you will be returned to central Amsterdam.
